Equipment Finance Commercial Portfolio Manager

Huntington National Bank is looking for Senior Credit Underwriters/Commercial Portfolio Managers in Chicago, Cincinnati, or Cleveland to support significant growth in its Equipment Finance Division. Qualified professionals will be responsible for underwriting secured equipment finance and lease transactions, presenting findings to executive leadership, and making recommendations for approval or denial of credit requests.

Must be a confident team player with strong analytical skills who can manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Also must be detail oriented, resourceful, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a successful fast paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the underwriting and assist in the structuring of equipment loans/leases within the turn-around expectations established by the client and Sales Specialist.
• Identify, evaluate, and understand macro-economic risks.
• Articulate a clear understanding of primary and secondary sources of repayment.
• Align structure and covenants appropriately to mitigate risks.
• Present findings and make recommendations to executive leadership team.
• Work directly with clients and commercial banking partners to fully evaluate each client?s credit worthiness.
• Understand, identify, and mitigate policy exceptions.
• Evaluate and negotiate modifications to lease and loan contracts.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the equipment finance/leasing, commercial finance, or commercial banking industry.
• Solid understanding of secured financial contracts.
• Strong team player.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Moody?s Financial Analysis
• Bachelor?s Degree required, MBA preferred
